Wildlife observation is an exciting activity to be sure. But watching birds can be exciting and yet soothing at the same time. Having a bird nesting box in the garden provides a secure and comfortable nesting place for garden birds, and if one is interested in observing the birds, there are special wildlife cameras made to be fitted in the nest boxes!

The cameras are typically wireless, making it easy to fit them in tricky locations. They can be fitted inside the tiny nesting box, such that the nesting area as well as the entrance hole is visible.

These cameras usually have infra-red vision, which means they can capture footage even in the dark as infra red LEDs provide light. Infra red light is invisible to the human eye and the bird eye!

The purpose of such a camera is to be a hidden observer and not cause any disturbance to the birds, which is exactly what it is designed to do. Birds usually do not notice if the camera is on or off. However, in spite of being so compact, it captures good quality footage and often also has an in built microphone.
