Many of us like to travel as far as we can for our annual holiday, preferably somewhere as exotic as possible which involves cocktails and a sandy beach!

The Caribbean, South America and Thailand are always very popular, but why travel for over 10 hours when there is so much to see closer to home? Many of Europe's capital cities are on our doorstep. Just try a hotel in Paris or awarded Rome apartments

Although so close, they are a million miles away in terms of language culture and food. Why travel all the way to the other side of the world when there is enough to see to last you a lifetime and so much closer to home.

Some of the world class attractions are within a 3 hour flight of the UK. The Coliseum, the Leaning tower of Pisa and the art wonders of Florence are all a short hop away in Italy.

In France we have the Eiffel Tower, the magnificent Louvre with the Mona Lisa and the Arc De Triomphe, all reachable by Eurostar quickly and easily from London. In Spain there is that incredible example of Moor architecture, the Alhambra, and the amazing Gaudi architecture in Barcelona. So before you book the long haul flight for your next holiday, try somewhere closer but equally as impressive.
